Badge-Part II

So I did a little lyrics search after writing my
first blog about the song, 'Badge' by Cream.
It was penned by Eric Clapton and George
Harrison. Now, was that before friend Eric
stole George Harrison's first wife from him?
They were in their late 20's at that time.

I have always loved this song from the late '60's.
I now listen to Eric Clapton sing it and wonder ,
"What the hell is he singing about?"
Where did the band get these lyrics?
Was this composed with lots of drugs or not
enough? I just don't know why I still like
this song-but I do.
